Copernic has announced the official launch of its desktop search product, Copernic Desktop Search (CDS) version 1.6. This production release, launched after 5 weeks of beta testing, contains enhancements to the company's flagship product. The final release of CDS 1.6 features a new CDS toolbar that integrates with both IE and Firefox browsers, automatic suspension of indexing when laptops are running on battery power, a redesigned deskbar user interface, and other usability and performance enhancements. Also announced for the first time with CDS 1.6 is a Spanish language version.
