EOS International and WebFeat have announced a joint development partnership in order to supply EOS clients with simplified, simultaneous access to multiple database resources. As part of the agreement, WebFeat's metasearch technology will enable federated search in the EOS.Web OPAC. With federated search, from a single customized search interface, users can select any set of database sources to search, such as the Web, Z39.50, SQL, XML, proprietary, commercial, or free. Results are displayed according to source, and with a single click, the entire record will be displayed in the native interface. Webfeat also links ebooks to OPAC records and e-articles to serial records.

WebFeat is the developer of the WEBFEAT PRISM metasearch engine, used by public, academic, government, and Global 1000 libraries and information centers. WebFeat's latest release, WebFeat3, offers a suite of metasearch tools: PRISM, the SMART counter-compliant usage tracker, and MyWebFeat personalized metasearch system.

EOS International is a library information management software and services provider. EOS library automation software products (EOS.Web Express, EOS.Web Enterprise, and hosted, EOS e-Library Services) are designed to serve the knowledge and content management needs of corporate, legal, medical, government, and special libraries.
