TIFNY has released RollingHeads Electronic Newsstand beta 1.0, a Windows application that is intended to make it easier to access and organize news from the Internet. RollingHeads enables users to do Internet research, keep track of competitors, enjoy favorite sports team, or stay on top of current news events. The program is designed to extract recent and relevant information from news sources, and store the information in your private indexed database for viewing using Internet Explorer. RollingHeads can gather headlines about preselected topics such as business, cooking, education, politics, or sports. Alternatively, users can create their own topics for RollingHeads to monitor, including company names, industries, politicians, sports figures, or anything of interest. Users can browse through the latest headline list and surf immediately to the content. RollingHeads Electronic Newsstand beta 1.0 runs under Windows 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP, is free of charge for six months, and may be downloaded online.
