The Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF), a non-profit organization dedicated to the document communications industry, has announced the creation of an industry resource designed to provide access to pertinent research, with educational value, from sources within the industry. This resource can be found on the EDSF's Web site.

The Foundation's site provides access to research findings from EDSF's own research and white papers, as well as vendors and educators, including AIIM International, Cincom, Delphi Group, EFI, InfoTrends/CAP Ventures, Kodak Versamark, NexPress, Pitney Bowes, and Rochester Institute of Technology, plus additional research sources. Research topics include industry definition and strategic analysis; processes; productivity and profitability; cross-media migration and integration, and digital color printing. EDSF provides this research service at no cost to its users.

EDSF welcomes additional research papers of educational value. Upon receipt, an evaluation committee will evaluate the paper making certain it meets specific criteria. To meet criteria, the paper must be original work, relevant to the document communications industry, a timely topic, not product or vendor specific, and well-written with a well-defined focus.
