Copernic, an information technology company, has announced the availability of Copernic Meta 1.5. This new version of the software is designed to let users capture the search functionality of any search engine, site search tool, or specialized database and make it accessible at any time via a toolbar. To add a custom search engine, users simply enter the keyword "addengine" into the search engine they want to integrate into Copernic Meta. Then, using intelligent algorithms, the software will automatically generate the search engine definition. Once this is done, users can query the new search engine directly from the Copernic Meta toolbar without having to return to the search engine homepage anymore. Copernic Meta 1.5, which is fully integrated into the Windows taskbar and the Internet Explorer browser, works with Windows 98, Me, NT, 2000, and XP, and can be downloaded free.
