Verity Launches Operation in Japan

Verity Inc. has established Verity Japan K.K. in Tokyo in an effort to better pursue market opportunities and provide in-country technical support. Verity is the provider of Ultraseek, a downloadable search engine that can be deployed for organizations of all sizes that need to locate intellectual capital contained in multiple file formats within their enterprises.

Verity's Ultraseek and K2 product lines enable enterprises to identify, manage, and use the information contained in their digital and human assets to realize competitive advantages such as increased productivity, shortened business cycles, and expanded sales and revenue. Verity K2 Enterprise integrates search, classification, and personalization capabilities for enterprise portals to uncover information and data residing in both internal and external repositories. The product is a fault-tolerant, scalable solution that delivers also offers adaptive ranking, support for 26 languages, as well as gateway support to information repositories, including Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, ODBC and Documentum.

Verity named Digital Garage a premier distributor of Verity Ultraseek software, formerly known as Inktomi Enterprise Search (IES), in Japan earlier this year, shortly after Verity acquired the technology from Inktomi Corporation. Digital Garage first introduced the Ultraseek product to the Japanese market in 1997. Verity Japan K.K. is located at 15th Floor, Cerulean Tower, 26-1 Sakuragaoka-cho, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, 150-8512, Japan.
