Fast Search & Transfer ASA (FAST) has announced that The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc., has signed an agreement to deploy FAST Data Search across multiple applications within the enterprise. Goldman Sachs is an investment banking, securities, and investment management firm that provides a range of services worldwide to a diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high net worth individuals. FAST is receiving revenue from Goldman Sachs in the form of software license and maintenance fees.

FAST has also announced that Tenet Healthcare Corporation has deployed FAST's scalable enterprise search technology to power the search capabilities for its corporate Web site and intranet. The FAST Data Search suite of enterprise search solutions offers a combination of real-time search technology, business search management tools, and information analysis capabilities. FAST Data Search provides an upgrade path if needs change, and offers a method for adding new sources of information via application connectors, such as Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, Oracle, DB2, and Documentum. Intranet applications, such as Tenet Healthcare, can also take advantage of user and document level access controls defined by the company and departments without effecting FAST's performance levels.
