Fast Search & Transfer (FAST), a developer of enterprise search and real-time alerting technologies, has announced that The National Library of Norway has selected FAST Data Search to power its digital information archives. The archives include: The Digital Radio Archive (DRA), Culture Net Norway (Kulturnett Norge), The Digital Newspaper Library, Cultural Heritage Ekofisk, The Nordic Web Archive (NWA), Paradigma, and The National Library's own public Web site. In compliance with the Norwegian Legal Deposit Act, all public printed and digital documents must be deposited in national collections, such as the National Library of Norway, so that records of Norwegian culture and social life may be preserved and made available as sources of future research. FAST's search technology provides the National Library of Norway with one common search platform that searches this data to retrieve information for those conducting research on the history and culture of Norway. The FAST Data Search suite of enterprise search solutions offers a combination of real-time search technology, business search management tools, and information analysis capabilities. FAST Data Search enables companies and organizations, such as The National Library of Norway, to develop information transparency and utilization across organizational units and geographical areas. This results in improved efficiency through collaboration, information sharing, and real-time data monitoring and filtering.
