Bibliographic Index, a standard reference in libraries for more than 60 years, is now searchable for the first time electronically on WilsonWeb, H.W. Wilson has announced. Bibliographic Index--a bibliography of bibliographies--guides users to bibliographies from books, pamphlets, and more than 2,800 periodicals. On WilsonWeb, Bibliographic Index offers digital searching by subject headings, keyword, source publication, author, date, and more. Students, educators, acquisitions specialists, and researchers will be able to search more than 272,000 bibliographies published in English, German, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Czech, and other languages in the Roman alphabet. Bibliographic essays, literature reviews, and serial bibliographies are included. Retrospective content as far back as 1984 ensures thorough searching, and daily additions continuously bring users new sources. A full-text version of the database, Bibliographic Index Plus, is also planned.
