Entopia, Inc. has unveiled the Entopia Knowledge Builder in an effort to enable users to easily migrate econtent to the knowledge base. Available immediately, the Knowledge Builder is a taxonomy-discovery and content-classification tool, which further facilitates collaboration and improves the location of expertise, documents, and sources of existing enterprise legacy content. The Knowledge Builder is coupled with Entopia Quantum to facilitate a smooth and speedy integration of legacy content by generating a taxonomy and semantic metadata from source documents and integrating them into Entopia Quantum where they are immediately searchable and part of the collaboration space. The Knowledge Builder analyzes the source documents to extract key concepts. These extracted concepts are matched against the semantic DNA associated with existing topics in the knowledge base in order to automatically generate a target or suggested taxonomy. This target taxonomy is flexible and may be customized in several ways to meet the customer's needs. The Knowledge Builder also features built-in analytical reporting tools to help understand the created taxonomy. Once the taxonomy has been established, the classified documents, along with the new taxonomy, are automatically migrated into Entopia Quantum. During migration, all documents are indexed by the Entopia Quantum Semantic Engine, which creates metadata about the content, as well as the creators of the documents, to allow for dynamic expertise profiles. Once the initial migration is complete, users are able to maintain the new classification by using Entopia Quantum's Smart Classify function, which recommends where to classify and store a new document based on its semantic similarity with other documents. The Entopia Knowledge Builder is a combination of software from Lightspeed Software and Entopia. Entopia is marketing the Knowledge Builder as part of a suite of solutions for one-time or ongoing use.
