Hoover’s Enhances Subscriber Site

Hoover's, Inc., a D&B company, has announced major enhancements to its subscriber site. The enhancements include a new search platform and list-building capability, a consolidated database for unified search results, and a refreshed design and user experience that more closely aligns with how customers utilize Hoover's business insight. These enhancements are available immediately. Hoover's teamed with Fast Search & Transfer (FAST) to develop the new search infrastructure. The new search platform also employs real-time filtering technology, offering subscribers customizable parameters.

Hoover's enhanced list-building tool lets customers see the number of records that will result from the list criteria as they make their selections, so they can fine-tune selections before completing their list. The results of each search are presented in a tabular format that can be sorted to allow customers to find the specific companies or executives that are most relevant to them. Additionally, subscribers can now download up to 3,000 records at a time, up from 2,000.

In addition to the new search platform, the enhanced site provides customers with a more complete view of each company in the database, by enriching Hoover's company records with additional data from parent company D&B. These databases have now been consolidated to provide a unified view of Hoover's information. Additionally, to help users determine the amount of information contained in each record, Hoover's has assigned a "depth indicator" for each record on a scale of one to three, with three indicating the most in-depth records. In addition, the new "About My Subscription" section lets customers edit their account details and see their specific subscription-level features, gain access to custom training, and learn about other subscription levels.
