Alacra Store Unveils Keyword Search
Posted Mar 28, 2006 Print Version     Page 1of 1

Alacra, Inc., a provider of online business information solutions, has announced the launch of an Ajax-driven Keyword Search in the Alacra Store. This enhancement, combined with Alacra's interface, is designed to help business professionals search for and discover reports from all of the premium database providers in the Alacra Store. Users can now search simultaneously for premium content from every publisher by keyword, date range, report price, content category, and database publisher. Additionally, users have the option to query and gather data on any company found within Alacra's "company universe."

On the Alacra Store homepage, users are presented with a search form that enables federated searching across the Alacra Store's premium content. After submitting a query, results are displayed clustered by content category, including company profiles and financials, credit and investment research, market research, economic data, and news. The search results also include the ability to display the keyword in context (KWIC) for all text documents on the search results page. The KWIC feature allows users to see the frequency and context in which their search terms appear in the relevant documents.
