RLG, an international, not-for-profit membership organization of over 150 research institutions, has announced its fine arts database CAMIO--Catalog of Art Museum Images Online--is now available at libraries throughout North Carolina. Virtually every person in North Carolina has the opportunity to download art images from museums around the world.

Through the efforts of NC LIVE (North Carolina Libraries for Virtual Education), North Carolina citizens are now able to access CAMIO's 90,000 museum images. NC LIVE members include over 200 public and private libraries, colleges, and universities throughout the state. CAMIO offers rights-cleared, art images for class projects, art history and studio art programs, course Web sites, lectures, presentations, and research resources. CAMIO allows users to locate images by keyword, title, creator, date, owner, subject, format, and culture or nationality.
