Docutek, a SirsiDynix company and a provider of Internet software for academic, public, and K-12 libraries, has announced the release of v5.2 of Docutek ERes, its electronic reserves system. Docutek ERes v5.2 features CCC Connect, an integration with Copyright Clearance Center's (CCC) rights licensing database that delivers productivity advantages for ereserve librarians. The new release allows users to search, obtain, and modify permission when posting materials on reserve without leaving Docutek ERes.

Communication between the CCC and Docutek systems is two-way, enabling Docutek ERes to reflect a change in the copyright status of a document. CCC Connect users can check the status of special copyright requests online and have more flexibility to manage and track copyright transactions. Other new features include an improved search and order process, expanded search results, and the ability to submit "special order" permission requests to CCC.
