VersusLab Releases SliceTheWeb Update

VersusLab has announced the release of the update for SliceTheWeb , a Web search archive tool for the Windows platforms. This application now provides support for two more internet browsers, namely Mozilla Firefox and Maxthon. SliceTheWeb now has a new save engine and the ability to save pictures and a page style in a stored slice.

SliceTheWeb provides a standalone reference library with search options. This VersusLab solution has the ability to choose only those snippets of an HTML document that contain relevant information. Page slices can be saved to a folder directly from the context menu or the toolbar in your Web browser. Then, in the program window you can group the resulting reference library by category, source URL, or date with a single mouse click. A search engine can help the user find keywords throughout pages and slices. Features of SliceTheWeb v1.4.31 include: integration and support for Microsoft IE 5.5 or higher, Firefox and Maxthon; the ability to save whole pages and slices including pictures and page styles; a standalone slice manager; one click sorting by category, source URL, or date; a search engine for slice names and bodies; the ability to refresh the slice, print it out or save to a file; and a user friendly interface.

SliceTheWeb v1.4.31 runs under Windows 98/Me/2000/XP/2003 and costs $25 (USD) for a single-user license (professional version up to 500 slices) and $50 (USD) for a version with the unlimited number of slices. The company offers a flexible discount policy for volume buyers and a discount of 10% for the duration of the launching campaign. All registered users get top-priority support, free minor updates and discounts for major version updates. A free functionally limited version is available on the Web site.
