FatWire and FAST Support BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1

FatWire Software has announced support for the new version of the BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform, along with being named a Three-Star partner in the BEA Star Partner Program, in which companies must meet education and certification requirements and have numerous BEA client engagements completed. The announcement supports the recent availability of BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1, an integration software platform that provides business integration through the convergence of application development and integration, from BEA Systems, Inc. BEA Systems provides application infrastructure software to build, integrate, and extend enterprise applications, such as FatWire Spark portal Content Management. FatWire has developed several products integrated with BEA WebLogic Enterprise Platform, including Spark portal Content Management (pCM). Spark pCM is designed to offer a fully integrated content management solution for the BEA WebLogic Portal. Spark provides a set of functionality for creating, editing, publishing, and managing new content in the WebLogic Portal.

Fast Search & Transfer has announced that FAST Data Search, FAST's suite of enterprise search solutions, will also support BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1. FAST Data Search is composed of the following: e-business portals that connect site-visitors to corporate, Web, and market research information with a query system combining search and alert; employee portals that offer sub-second access to and delivery of time-critical, company-wide, and public information; and enterprise systems off-load query and information retrieval on existing enterprise systems. The FAST Data Search suite of enterprise search solutions is a combination of real-time search technology, business search management tools, and information analysis capabilities.
