WebSideStory Launches Search 4.0

WebSideStory, Inc., a provider of on-demand digital marketing and customer analysis applications, has announced the launch of WebSideStory Search 4.0, a site search solution to automatically integrate site search and Web site behavioral data. This technology, called Active Ranking, is designed to enable marketers to optimize the ranking of their search results based on any number of visitor metrics, such as conversion rate, entry pages, most requested pages, and visits.

WebSideStory Search 4.0 integrates with WebSideStory's HBX Analytics solution via the company's Stream Reporting API (application programming interface). WebSideStory Search 4.0 offers other capabilities and innovations, including guided site navigation, a 10-fold increase in search capacity, and automated SEO sitemap and shopping engine feeds, designed to enable marketers to maximize the acquisition, retention, and conversion of online customers.

The new capabilities with Search 4.0 include: Active Ranking, a capability that enables marketers to automatically influence and optimize site search relevancy--the ability to provide visitors exactly what they are looking for--from ecommerce metrics to content and traffic information; Active Navigation, which provides a guided experience that leads customers to products or data they seek; Large Capacity Search, Search 4.0 includes an architecture that boosts its search capacity by more than 10 times, making it capable of handling millions of indexed pages; Stream Shopping Engine Feeds, using Search 4.0, ecommerce customers can automate their submissions to shopping search engines without having to engage the IT department; and Stream SEO Sitemap Feeds, customers of all business models can leverage the product to automatically generate feeds for Google Sitemaps.
